The SKB Gig Rig series has set the standard for mixer/rack cases for more than 15 years. The 4th Generation Gig Rig raises the bar yet again. Based on the 1SKB19-R1406 Mighty Gig Rig design, the 1SKB19-R1208 Gig Rig provides more versatility than previous generation Gig Rigs. Roto-molded of Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), the 1SKB19-R1208 Gig Rig has a uni-body construction that is extremely durable. The 7? angled top steel rails are 12U rack spaces with extra room in the back for cable connections. The lid provides enough space for cables to stay connected as well as, space for the optional 1SKB-AV8 retractable shelf. The front facing 8U steel rails provide enough space for amps or outboard gear. 8U Rear rack rails are included for additional mounting, storage and support. In the same fashion as the Mighty Gig Rig, the lid can also be used as a pedestal for the 1SKB19-R1208 Gig Rig. By placing the lid on the bottom wheeled skid and locking down the Gig Rig on top, the mixer height has perfect performance position. The 1SKB-R1208 Gig Rig includes two injection molded extra-long handles, (one per side) for easy lifting in transport. Four heavy-duty locking castors complete the new Gig Rig. Exterior height is without wheels installed and case closed. Exterior height in use with lid as a pedestal and wheels installed is 40.75"(front of slanted rack) to 43.5" (rear slanted rack). 16 "Rack Space Units Bottom" represents 8U front and 8U rear spaces. Rail to Lid Depth= 3.25" (same in front and back) 12U Rack Depth= 4.5" in front and 6.75" in back. The slanted top 12U Rack has 3.5" in the rear for cable clearance. The Mighty GigRig® Rolling Rack System features a deep design (14U+) which allows for deeper analog and digital mixers (Yamaha 01V96, Allen & Heath Mix Wizard, Mackie Onyx, etc.). The deep design allows for rack gear to be mounted on the 6U front rack rails and additional rack gear mounted on optional 6U rear rack rails for a total of 12 rack units on the bottom. The cover is designed to be used as a stand for the GigRig and places the mixer at proper mixing height when it is open and in use or the cover can be removed for a lower workstation making the new Mighty GigRig® versatile for audio and AV applications. The cover will fit over installed XLR cable connectors (top or rear mounted). Exterior height is without wheels installed and case closed. Exterior height in use with lid as a pedestal and wheels installed is 38.25"(front of slanted rack) to 41.25" (rear slanted rack). 12 "Rack Space Units Bottom" represents 6U front and 6U rear spaces. Rail to Lid Depth= 2.25" (same in front and back) 14U Rack Depth= 5.25" in front and 8" in back. The slanted top 14U Rack has 4.75" in the rear for cable clearance.
